$150K for Tiz Wonderful 2YO at Palm Meadows

Monday, March 25, 2013
Leading second-crop sire Tiz Wonderful continues to make a big splash in the sales ring; this time at the Fasig Tipton Florida sale of 2-year-olds on March 25, when hip No. 49 brought a winning bid of $150,000, 12 times his 2013 stud fee of $12,500.

Donato Lanni, agent, signed the ticket for the bay colt, who was consigned by Bobby Dodd, agent. Bred in Kentucky, the juvenile is out of the Pulpit mare Schism, a half-sister to Grade 3 Cicada S. winner Potomac Bend.

Schism's family includes the Grade 1 winners Hookedonthefeelin, Pussycat Doll, and Jimmy Creed. Owned by Spendthrift Farm; Jimmy Creed won the Grade 1 Malibu S. in December and is being pointed to the Grade 2 Potrero Grande S. April 6 at Santa Anita, with the prestigious Met Mile H. (G1), in late May at Belmont Park, as a long term goal.
