Another ‘Moon’ yearling eclipses six figures

Tuesday, October 27, 2009
Leading sire Malibu Moon enjoyed yet another six-figure yearling purchase in 2009 when an attractive colt fetched $100,000 selling as Hip No. 515 on Day 2 of the Fasig-Tipton October yearling sale.

Consigned by Brookdale Sales as agent for Audley Farm, the dark bay colt reached the six-figure mark on the final bid from buyer George Krikorian. A registered Virginia-bred, he hails from the El Prado (Ire) mare Exceptionally, a full sister to graded stakes winner and stakes producer Swingin On Ice.
