Tuesday, March 17, 2015
Buyers snatched up a total of five juveniles from the first crop of Archarcharch during the first day of the OBS March Sale of Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training for an average price of $80,000, nearly nine times his 2015 stud fee of $9,000.

Hip No. 86, a filly consigned by King’s Equine, brought a bid of $110,000 from Town & Country Farm. The filly is a half-sister to a pair of stakes winners in Swither and How ‘Bout No. Their dam, Dither, has a trio of stakes-winning siblings as well.

Other Archaracharch highlights on Tuesday included hip No. 99, a colt sold by Woodford Thoroughbreds for $90,000 to Narvick International. The colt’s family includes major stakes winners Unfurl the Flag and Onlyforyou. Hip No. 254 brought a top bid of $80,000 from trainer Dan Hendricks. The colt was consigned by Bobby Dodd and is from a family that includes three-time South African champion Overarching.
