Baltimore Bob gave his sire Malibu Moon yet another stakes winner Apr. 17, taking the one-mile Henry Clark S. as the 4-5 favorite over the Pimlico lawn. The 5-year-old horse won the race by one-half length, running down pacesetter Crimson Comic in the final furlong.

Baltimore Bob has won $226,880 in a four-year career that has spanned 23 races, including seven victories and a trio of seconds and thirds. He has been in the money in all three of his 2010 starts, previously finishing third in a pair of Grade 3 turf events: the Fair Grounds H. and the John B. Connally H.

The third Saturday in April was a banner day for Spendthrift stallion Malibu Moon, who was  represented by two other stakes winners in addition to Pinkarella: Life At Ten won the Grade 3 Sixty Sails H. at Hawthorne and Pinkarella the Sugar Maple S. at Charles Town Racecourse.

With the trio of stakes winners on the day, Malibu Moon is now ranked first on the North American general sire list by winners, with 54, and fifth in terms of earnings, in excess of $1.9 million.
