Cross Traffic

Cross Dancer gave Cross Traffic his ninth winner on Aug. 19 when the 2-year-old colt won a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race by four lengths.

Cross Traffic leads all First-Crop sires by winners and is in the top five by progeny earnings.

Cross Dancer was a close second until assuming command in upper stretch, then drew off at will to win easily over the muddy going.

The winner, out of the Tapit mare Special Dancer, was bred in Kentucky by Charles Merrick III. Special Dancer, who has two foals, is a sister to multiple stakes winner Bon Fearless.
