Dominus, whose first foals are yearlings of 2015, has a total of 11 youngsters cataloged for the Sept. 14-26 Keeneland September Yearling sale. His yearlings have already made a big splash during the summer auctions, with a colt bringing $250,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale and a $140,000 colt at the Fasig-Tipton New York Bred Preferred sale.
Highlights of Dominus’s Keeneland offerings include hip No. 1579, the first foal out of Belle du Sud, who comes from the family of Grade 1 winners Hooh Why and Mizdirection; hip No. 2427, a filly that is a half-sister to the multiple graded stakes horse Secret Getaway; and hip No. 3654, a filly that is half-sister to multiple graded stakes horse Harrods Creek.
Standing at Spendthrift Farm for $4,500 live foal in 2015, Dominus was a graded stakes winner at three in the Dwyer S. (G2) and at four in the Bernard Baruch H. (G2).
