Goldencents works Jan. 26 at Santa Anita
Into Mischief's top 3-year-old Goldencents turned in a sparkling six furlong work Jan. 26 at Santa Anita, prompting glowing praise from his trainer and commentators on HRTV, who carried the race live.

Trainer Doug O'Neill sent Goldencents, winner of the Grade 3 Sham S. on Jan. 5, out for a public work just before Saturday's first race. With regular rider Kevin Krigger aboard, Goldencents was full of run the entire way, getting fractions of :22.83, :45.66 and :57.80 before stopping the timer in 1:10.27 for the six panels over a wet-fast track. The work was the fastest of eight at the distance.

“Goldencents worked like a champ,” O’Neill said. “I’m very happy.”

Jeff Siegel of HRTV echoed O'Neill's comments, giving the handsome chestnut an A+ rating and said a horse can not work any better.

O’Neill said the next goal for Goldencents is the Grade 2, $300,000 San Felipe S. at 1 1/16 miles on March 9.
