Gulfstream turf maiden goes to determined Liaison colt

Liaison

Friday, November 10, 2017
A resolute Moon Lover held off Gran Lover by a little more than a length to break his maiden on Nov. 10 over seven furlongs on the Gulfstream Park West turf course.

Liaison's versatile group of first-crop winners have tallied victories at distances from 4 1/2-furlongs to a mile on both turf and the main track, including Colleen S. winner Bronx Beauty.

Moon Lover is owned by his trainer Luis Luna in partnership and was bred by North Hills Bloodstock. His dam Nice Girl is a half-sister to Ask The Moon, a daughter of Malibu Moon who won the Ruffian Inv. (G1) and Personal Ensign S. (G1) and earned over $700,000.

Liaison, who was bred to a combined 356 mares the past three years, will stand the 2018 season at Spendthrift Farm for $5,000 live foal.
