I Got It All romps in Springfield S.

Saturday, May 31, 2014
I Got It All turned the $100,000 Springfield S. into a one-horse race, drawing away with authority through the Arlington Park stretch to win by 9 1/4-lengths, the second career stakes win for the 3-year-old by Tiz Wonderful.

Rating kindly just off the pace early, I Got It All came three wide into the stretch to make his assault on the leaders. In just a few jumps after straightening for home, the bay sophomore accelerated away from his competition, opening up by a half-dozen lengths in mid-stretch to come home the easiest of winners (VIDEO).

“There was a lot of speed in the race,” winning rider Emanuel Cosme observed. “He just broke (fine) and relaxed. When I asked him to run at the quarter pole, he just took off. When I passed the last two horses, he just put his ears up and was playing with them.”

Commenting on his charge's first attempt over a mile, trainer Tom Swearingen said, “This horse has a wonderful mind and is easy to teach. He’ll do anything you want him to do.”

I Got It All took Hawthorne Race Course’s $100,000 Land of Lincoln last month for his first black-type score. The Springfield added $49,032 to his earnings, which now stand at $123,202 for his owners Swearingen, Leonard Denk, Daren Carlile and Robert Bockel.

Tiz Wonderful's progeny have passed the $1.6 million earnings mark in 2014, putting him in fourth on the Third Crop Sire list. He also ranks second with winners (39) and stakes wins (5) on the same list.
