Freshman sire Into Mischief got his fourth winner Wednesday, July 29th at Remington Park when Detention earned a hard fought victory in the full field of 2yos. All of Into Mischief’s winners have impressively come in the maiden special weight ranks.

Detention, bred by Nakajima Hiroshi and trained by Clinton Stuart, shot to the lead and flashed good early speed in the 7 ½-furlong race. He was briefly headed in the stretch before gamely proving best at the wire.

Into Mischief, the top son of red-hot sire Harlan’s Holiday, was a prolific 2-year-old himself, winning the Grade 1 CashCall Futurity in the fastest running of the race in over 15 years.

Dentention, who hails from the Marquetry mare Marquesa Jen, picked up over $16,000 with the win.
