A filly by leading sire Into Mischief brought the highest priced paid for a yearling during the first day of the Feb. 8-9 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky Winter Mixed sale.
The bay Kentucky bred, hip No. 192, was consigned by Blake-Albina Thoroughbred Services LLC and sold for $180,000 to Bill and Corinne Heiligbrodt. The colt is out of the stakes-placed Carson City mare Lanai City, already the dam of three winners from four foals to race.
Lanai City is a half-sister to multiple Grade 3 winner Eagleton as well as the stakes winner Sweetdownthelane.
Into Mischief’s first three crops to race, from 2012-2014, have performed exceedingly well, putting him in the top 5 each year on the respective Sire List. He stands this year at Spendthrift Farm for $35,000, stands and nurses.
