Mi Nieto Ryan scored his third straight blowout victory on Aug. 12 at Camarero Racetrack, this time winning by nearly 15 lengths in a 5 1/2-furlong allowance affair for 2-year-olds.
The dark bay son of Itsmyluckyday has won his three starts by a combined 35 1/2-lengths and has never been tested beyond the first quarter-mile of any race. Saturday's victory was no different; he was in front in the first furlong, then was hand-ridden the rest of the way.
Itsmyluckday has been one of the top producers of winners for any First-Crop sire this year. He has six to date, trailing only fellow Spendthrift freshman sires Goldencents and Cross Traffic in the category. He is also the only first-year sire to have an individual runner with three wins.
