A colt from the first crop of Spendthrift stallion Jimmy Creed brought a winning bid of $325,000 during Tuesday's opening session of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training.

Julie Davies, agent, consigned hip No. 259, who went to John Oxley. The chestnut colt had worked a 1/8-mile in a sizzling 9 4/5 seconds at last week's Under Tack show.

The colt is the latest foal out of the stakes-winning Jade Hunter mare Chitka, who has eight winners from nine starters.

Jimmy Creed's first foals will be racing in 2017. His sales' 2-year-olds include a $320,000 colt at the OBS March Sale and a $140,000 colt at Barretts March Sale.
