Curious Rumor held off the late charge of Per La Bella to score by a head in her maiden special weight debut Saturday at Emerald Downs (VIDEO). The 2-year-old filly is the seventh first-crop winner for Jimmy Creed, whose runners are winning at nearly 50 percent. The Spendthrift stallion ranks second on the Freshman Sire list by both winners and progeny earnings.

Curious Runner was bred by T/C Stable LLC and is from the same family as millionaire graded stakes winner Vision and Verse. The dark bay filly is trained by Frank Lucarelli, who co-owns with Randall and Rossi LLC.
