Just two months into his racing career, Spendthrift Farm LLC's Jimmy Creed turned in another stellar performance Sunday in a first level allowance race [VIDEO] going six furlongs, to run his record to two-for-three lifetime.
After running second in his debut May 28 at Hollywood Park, Jimmy Creed got his first win with an easy 2 1/4-length win July 4 at the same track. Facing older horses at Del Mar, the 3-year-old had to weave his way between horses before spurting to the lead in deep stretch, pulling away to a 1 3/4-length victory in a very quick 1:09.37.
A a half-brother to multiple Grade 1 stakes winner Pussycat Doll, Jimmy Creed is out of Hookedonthefeelin, herself a Grade 1 winner of the La Brea S., as well as the Grade 2 Landaluce S. Hookedonthefeelin is also the dam of Just Smashing S. winner Funny Feeling.
B. Wayne Hughes bought Jimmy Creed at the 2010 Keeneland September yearling sale, paying $900,000 for the chestnut Kentucky-bred son of Distorted Humor.
