Jimmy Creed weanling tops Keeneland November session

Jimmy Creed

Monday, November 09, 2015
A weanling from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Jimmy Creed sold for $110,000 during the second Monday session of the Keeneland November Sale, the top price paid for a weanling on the day.

Consigned by Four Star Sales, agent, the winning bidder for hip No. 2693 was Alistair Roden Bloodstock. The bay colt is out of the multiple stakes winner Judy Soda, who banked nearly $400,000 in her career. She is already the dam of a stakes winner and a stakes-placed colt from her first three foals to race.

Jimmy Creed, who will stand for $7,500 in 2016, or $9,000 as part of Spendthrift’s popular Breed Secure program, has been bred to 288 mares his first two years at stud. His first crop will be yearlings in 2016.
