Liaison filly sparkles in decisive MdSpWt score

Thursday, December 7, 2017
Thirteen Squared was all alone in the Los Alamitos stretch as the 2-year-old Liaison filly strode to a 6 3/4-length maiden special weight victory Dec. 7 (VIDEO).

The dark bay juvenile was in command the entire one-mile trip, drawing clear at the midway point and was widening her lead all the way to the wire despite being under only mild urging by jockey Tyler Baze.

Liaison has had five winners in the past two weeks, including stakes winners Bronx Beauty and Night Strike.

Thirteen Squared is owned by his breeder Arnold Zetcher. She is out of House of Fortune, a two-time Grade 2 winner of nearly $1 million.
