Liaison filly wins third straight stakes

Bronx Beauty took Saturday's $100,000 Jose Flores Memorial S. at Parx by a head in an extremely game performance by 3-year-old Liaison filly [WATCH RACE].

Bronx Beauty has now won five of six lifetime starts, including four stakes, and has earned $240,720 for Two W's Stables LLC.  The gray filly is the leading earner for Liaison, whose second crop are 3-year-olds of 2018.

It what was arguably her toughest test to date, Bronx Beauty was three wide and on the turn, until she forged to the front after entering the stretch. Dixie Serenade joined the chase on the outside and actually poked her head in front inside the final sixteenth, but Bronx Beauty fought back to win by a head in 1:17.43 for the 6 1/2-furlongs.

Bronx Beauty is from the extended family of 2016 2-year-old champion Classic Empire and 3-year-old champion filly Revidere. Her unraced dam Forever Sunshine is a daughter of multiple Grade 1-placed In Her Glory.
