Into Mischief

Tuesday, June 25, 2013
Into Mischief's Love Smitten cruised to a facile 5 3/4-length maiden special weight score Tuesday at Presque Isle Downs, giving the top-5 Second Crop sire his 13th winner of the year.

Two-year-old Love Smitten, third in her debut last month, was forwardly-placed the entire five furlongs, well in hand for the first three furlongs, then drew off as she pleased in the stretch.

The winner is owned by Shelwotee Farm and Blazing Meadow Farm and trained by Tim Hamm. She earned $21,000 for the victory.

Into Mischief's five stakes horses this year included graded stakes winners Goldencents (G1 Santa Anita Derby and G3 Sham S.) and Vyjack (G2 Jerome S. and G3 Gotham S.).
