Runner-up in this race was a $100,000 yearling trained by Todd Pletcher. Dontgetgladgetmad has now earned $30,600 for owner Florence Patitucci. The former Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Select yearling was bred in Kentucky by Rose Hill Farm.

Don’t Get Mad was an undefeated two-year-old himself, who went on to win three stakes as a 3-year-old, and earn nearly $800,000.
