Mad Men: Two 2YO winners in five days

Don’t Get Mad just sired two juvenile winners in a five-day span, led by an undefeated colt.

On September 13, Dontgetmadgetglad won his second consecutive race at Delaware, coming five-wide on the turn to earn the victory by 1 ¾ lengths. Runner-up in this race was a $100,000 yearling trained by Todd Pletcher. Dontgetgladgetmad has now earned $30,600 for owner Florence Patitucci. The former Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Select yearling was bred in Kentucky by Rose Hill Farm.

On September 9, Don’t Get Mad’s son Take For You won a 6-furlong race on the main track at Camarero by 2 ¼ lengths. He was bred in Kentucky by B. Wayne Hughes, and races for Establo Janelo.

Don’t Get Mad was an undefeated two-year-old himself, who went on to win three stakes as a 3-year-old, and earn nearly $800,000.
