Malibu Moon's runners have surpassed the $5 million earnings mark this year, putting him in the seventh spot on the General Sire list. His stakes winners include the undefeated full sisters, 2-year-old Kauai Katie and 3-year-old Winding Way.
Martha' Moon stalked in second for the first quarter-mile before rallying in the stretch to move to the front. Once in the lead, the dark bay juvenile was never threatened and finished the five furlongs in :59.88.
Bred in Kentucky by Malibu Farm LLC, Martha's Moon has now earned $49,450 for owner Martha Reyes. Martha's Moon is out of Smolensk, a multiple Group stakes winner in France. Smolensk is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner Better than Honour, dam of Belmont S. (G1) winners Jazil and Rags to Riches.
