Medal Count filly realizes $135K Monday at Keeneland

Freshman sire Medal Count had a personal best at the Keeneland September Yearling sale on Monday when hip No. 2138 went to Magnolia Bloodstock for $135,000.

The dark bay filly was consigned by Select Sales on behalf of Machmer Hall. She is out of the Unbridled's Song mare Chantess and a half-sister to stakes winner Bavaro. 

Classic-placed Medal Count, who stood for $3,500 this year at Spendthrift Farm, has an additional 11 lots from his first crop remaining in the auction, which runs through Sept. 23.
