Saturday, November 25, 2017
Michael Wonderful, a 2-year-old from the first crop of Liaison, used his strong late kick to break his maiden Nov. 24 at Aqueduct, winning the three-horse photo by a neck in the one-mile turf contest.

The bay juvenile made up four lengths in the final furlong, coming five-wide in the stretch to get up in time. The winner owned by Michael Dubb et al and was bred by John Penn.

Michael Wonderful is out of It's Heidi's Dance and is a half-brother to Spiral S. (G3) winner Fast and Accurate. His dam is a sister to top-class runners My Pal Charlie, winner of the Super Derby (G2), two-time graded stakes winner Bwana Charlie, and El Camino Real Derby (G3) Bwana Bull.

Liaison's first crop also includes Bronx Beauty, already a two-time stakes winner after taking the Nov. 22 Blue Mountain Juvenile Fillies S. The Spendthrift stallion is being offered for a fee of $5,000 live foal for 2018.
