Miss Mischief dispatched her foes in the upper stretch on the way to a six-length score in the $100,000 Pearl City S. Wednesday at Aqueduct (VIDEO
). The 3-year-old daughter of Into Mischief is the seventh stakes winner of 2013 for her sire.
Into Mischief's second crop of runners have won 14 stakes to date, tied for most on the Sophomore Sire list, while his seven stakes winners ranks second.
In the six-furlong Pearl City, Miss Mischief stalked a pair of frontrunners, engaging the top two with a three-wide move on the turn, then quickly drew away at the head of the lane. The final time over the fast track was 1:10.42.
Trained by Steve Asmussen for Dianne Manning, Miss Mischief has now won three of five starts. With the $60,000 payday, her bankroll improved to $139,500.
Miss Mischief is the first foal out of the stakes-placed mare Kid Majic, who is a half-sister to Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity winner J P's Gusto.
