Tiz Wonderful continued his impressive first-crop sales record, siring two of the higher-priced colts at the OBS June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training.
These two brought Tiz Wonderful's inaugural juvenile sales average to $84,148 (27 sold), an impressive return of nearly seven times his stud fee at conception.
The top OBS June juvenile by Tiz Wonderful was Hip 302, a chestnut out of Splendid Honor, by Double Honor, who was purchased for $77,000 by Ken and Sarah Ramsey. The Kentucky-bred had worked a bullet of :10 at the Under Tack Show for consignor Costanzo Sales. The second juvenile was Hip 229, a chestnut whose dam is a half-sister to millionaire Anet. He was purchased for $50,000 by Michael Hui from the consignment of Azpurua Stables.
By Champion Sire Tiznow out of Evil, by Hennessy, Tiz Wonderful stands at Spendthrift for $12,500 live foal. He bred over 140 mares in each of his first two seasons at stud.
