A bay colt from the first crop of Grade 2 winner Notional sold for $80,000 at the Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society select yearling sale on Sept. 6, one of the top 10 figures for the day. The price was more than 10 times the stud fee for the Spendthrift stallion, who's first crop are yearlings of 2011.
