Notional's second winner cruises by 5 1-2 lengths

First-year sire Notional's second career winner Risky Call made maiden his win look very easy as he galloped by a widening 5 1/2-lengths on August 24.

Bred in Kentucky by Windwoods Farm and Will Roden, Risky Call is one of four winners out of Judith's Gamble, a seven-time winner of $127,726.

By In Excess (Ire) – also the sire of the late Indian Charlie, Notional was a precocious 2-year-old, having won his debut at Santa Anita with a 105 Beyer Speed Figure, one of the fastest performances by a juvenile in 2006. He retired with earnings of $733,240.

Notional stands at B. Wayne Hughes' Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, KY. His fee in 2012 was $7,500, stands and nurses.
