Malibu Moon

Tuesday, March 14, 2017
A pair of fillies by perennial leading sire Malibu Moon brought bids of at least $250,000 on Tuesday at the OBS March Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training Sale.

Hip No. 18, consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, went to M Group Racing LLC for $410,000. The filly's stakes-winning dam Merry Me In Spring has produced Hollywood Prevue S. (G3) winner So Brilliant and Grade 2-placed Fresh Feline.

A few minutes prior, Cary Frommer, agent, sold hip No. 14 for $250,000 to WinStar Farm. The filly is out of the Giant's Causeway mare Meerkat Miss, who is a half-sister to European champion 2-year-old Hold That Tiger and Belmont S. (G1) winner Editor's Note.

Malibu Moon had four lots sell on the day for an average of $255,000.
