Onlyforyou struts stuff in Gulfstream victory

Malibu Moon

Sunday, December 15, 2013
Onlyforyou, a 2-year-old Malibu Moon filly, zipped to a sharp 3 1/2-length first-level allowance win Sunday at Gulfstream Park to take her record to a perfect 2-for-2.

The bay filly, owned by Glencrest Farm, stopped the timer in 1:10.60 for the six furlongs after coming from third, some four lengths off the pace, half-way through the one-turn affair.

Onlyforyou, who debuted with a 2 1/4-length victory Nov. 10 at Aqueduct, was bred by Elm Tree Farm LLC and Popatop LLC in Kentucky out of the stakes-placed mare Ehru.

Malibu Moon, sire of the winners of 20 stakes in 2013, topped by Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Orb, has nearly $10 million in progeny earnings. He will stand the 2014 season at Spendthrift for $95,000 LFS&N.
