Sunday, September 28, 2014
Already stakes-placed, Papacoolpapacool joined the ranks of winners by Temple City with a front-running, 2 ¾-length maiden special weight score Saturday at Santa Anita Park.

Temple City currently ranks third in the Freshman Sire list with $524,830 in progeny earnings and is one of only three first-year sires with more than one stakes winners.

Papacoolpapacool left little doubt who was best in the field of juveniles traveling one mile on the turf. Setting a measured pace most of the way, the bay took his third lifetime start with relative ease, covering the distance in 1:35.89 (VIDEO).

The winner is owned by Ali Nilforushan and was bred in Kentucky by Chesapeake Farm and Gianca Stables.
