Malibu Moon’s 2009 commercial success carried over from the yearling market into the weanling market, as on Day 2 of the annual Keeneland November Sale an attractive weanling colt by Malibu Moon commanded $230,000 with the final bid going to Shadwell Estate Company Ltd.
Through the ring as Hip 452, the bay colt is out of the Silver Deputy mare Getaway Girl, a half-sister to champion Ghostzapper and Grade 1 winner City Zip. Indian Creek consigned the colt.
