A colt from the first crop of Temple City posted the fastest work at the opening session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2014 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training. The sale runs April 21-24.

Hip No. 207, consigned by Off the Hook LLC worked a quarter in :20 4/5. The dark bay or brown colt is out of Juneau, by Mr. Greeley and is a half brother to stakes-placed Alaska Miss. A video of the workout can be seen here; enter the hip number in the search box.

Temple City, who stands this year at Spendthrift Farm for $5,000 LFS&N, got off to a great start in the auction ring when his first 2-year-old offered at the Keeneland April sale brought a winning bid of $230,000.

Temple City has a total of 10 juveniles cataloged in the four-day auction, with five of those scheduled to sell on the first day.
