Tiz Playtime became the 12th winner for freshman sire Tiz Wonderful with a 2 1/2-length win Sunday at Hawthorne.
In addition to his solid group of maiden winners, Tiz Wonderful is also the sire of Grade 3 Tempted S. winner and Frizette S. (G1) runner-up My Happy Face. The 2-year-old filly is the leading earner for her sire and has helped propel him to eighth on the Freshman Sire list, with progeny earnings of $597,111 to date.
Tiz Playtime handled her competition in the 1 1/16-mile contest with a steady drive from third at the five furlong mark to get the lead around the eighth pole.
Tiz Playtime is one of five winners out of Capitol View, a three-time stakes winner of $447,452.
