Warrior's Reward

Monday, July 13, 2015
Two-year-old filly One True Kiss debuted a winner Sunday at Los Alamitos Race Course in a 5 ½-furlong maiden special weight contest.

The Warrior’s Reward filly, trained by Peter Miller of Kirk and Judy Robinson, was a $110,000 Keeneland September Yearling 2014 sale graduate, where Robinson purchased her from the James Keogh consignment.

Parked wide throughout the race, One True Kiss relaxed near the back early, then got into full gear in the stretch to roll home powerfully, stopping the timer in 1:03.98 on a fast track.

One True Kiss is out of the stakes-winning mare True Kiss, who is a half-sister to seven-time graded stakes winner Silver Max.

With 26 winners and $1.45 million in progeny earnings to date, Warrior’s Reward ranks sixth on the North American Second-Crop Sire list.

Warrior’s Reward, the Grade 1-winning son of Medaglia d’Oro, will shuttle to Australia and participate in the Spendthrift’s renowned Share The Upside Program starting in 2015. He is standing in Australia for $13,750 STU (including GST)/$11,000 S&N.
