Warrior’s Reward, a Top-10 First Crop sire of 2014 and Second-Crop this year, has a total of 47 yearlings cataloged for the Sept. 14-26 Keeneland September Yearling sale. Previous yearlings by the Spendthrift stallion sold in 2015 include a $180,000 colt at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale.
Highlights of Warrior’s Reward’s nearly 50 Keeneland offerings include a trio of juveniles being consigned on behalf of Spendthrift Farm: hip No. 1615, a filly that is the first foal out of the Tapit mare Chick Flick, from the same family as Grade 1 winner Behaving Badly and champion Ria Antonia; hip No. 1783, a filly out of Miss Simpatia (ARG), who has produced six winners, including multiple Grade 1 winner Miss Match (ARG); and hip No. 1906, another first foal, out of Supermoon, a full sister to multiple Grade 2 winner Malibu Pier.
Standing at Spendthrift Farm for $25,000 live foal, Warrior’s Reward has a 2015 2-year-old sales average of $85,538, with seven horses bringing at least $100,000.
