Goldencents’ $260,000 colt Sunday at the Keeneland September Yearling sale was a sales-best for the Spendthrift stallion, whose first crop are yearlings of 2017.

Jim and Susan Hill were the high bidders on hip No. 1786, consigned by Paramount Sales, agent. The colt is out of Phantom Rising, who is from the same family as champion Bayford and stakes winners Northern Baby and Rahy’s Secret.

Goldencents, a two-time winner of the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (G1), was one of the most popular young stallions in his first two years at stud, breeding to 369 mares.
