Malibu Moon’s hip No. 116 at the 2016 Keeneland September sale
Malibu Moon’s yearlings averaged $393,750 during the first session of the Keeneland September Yearling sale on Monday afternoon, topped by a $550,000 filly purchased by North Hills Co., Ltd.
Eaton Sales, agent, consigned the filly, hip No. 116. The regally-bred filly is out of Unrivaled Belle, earner of $1.8 million and winner of three graded stakes, including the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (G1).
Taylor Made Sales Agency consigned hip No. 129, a filly purchased for $400,000 by Barry Berkelhammer. The filly is the first foal out of Grade 2-placed Viva Carina (ARG).
Malibu Moon has a total of 48 remaining lots cataloged in the sale, which runs through Sept. 25.
