Into Mischief colt hits seven figures at Fasig-Tipton May sale
May 21, 2025

Into Mischief was once again near the top of the leaderboard at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic May 2-year-olds in Training sale when hip No. 334 sold for $1 million on May 20th.
Consigned by Kings Equine, the bay colt was purchased by Mahmud Mouni, who operates on behalf of Tagermeen Racing, a partnership of Libyan buyers who will race in the U.S.
“I wasn’t expecting that price, to be honest, but he deserved it,” Mouni said of the seven-figure price tag. “He had a very nice breeze and he is a smart-looking horse. I tried to pay less, but they were on the phone telling me to continue, continue, not stop until we get him.”
The colt, who worked a furlong in a co-fastest :10 1/5 last week, was bred by Spendthrift Farm and is out of stakes winner Quick Flip. He is a half-brother to graded winner Following Sea and a full brother to graded stakes-placed Gimmick.
Into Mischief has a commanding lead on this year’s General Sire list, with over $12.7 million in progeny earnings. His seven graded winners in 2025 are topped by Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Sovereignty.
