Whiskey Decision tops Into Mischief Saturday stakes double
June 15, 2025

Whiskey Decision’s victory in the Eatontown S. (G3) Saturday at Monmouth Park, her first in a graded stakes, highlighted a stakes double for Into Mischief, along with Full Moon Madness taking the $100,000 Alapocas Run S.
Into Mischief is once again dominating the annual General Sire list in 2025, leading in every category across the board. He currently has a dozen stakes winners, nine graded winners, topped by Kentucky Derby (G1) and Belmont S. (G1) hero Sovereignty.
Whiskey Decision, who recently joined the Chad Brown barn, had been off since early November. She was keen out of the gate and was kept under a hold near the back of the pack through the first turn. She eased up between horses to be third entering the final bend, then when an opening appeared on the rail turning for home, she shot through and took command. She pulled clear down the lane to win by two lengths over a “good” turf course.
“With the turf having a little moisture in it you never know how a horse will handle it if he has never tried it before,” said Chad Brown assistant Luis Cabrera. “This is a new filly for us. We got her a couple months ago and she has been training well. So I thought even off the layoff she would be ready. I think she really took to this turf course the way she ran.”
Owned and bred by Fred W. Hertrich III & John D. Fielding, Whiskey Decision has won four of eight starts and earned $305,887. She won the Christiana S. last term.
At Delaware Park, Full Moon Madness, winner of the Tom Fool S. (G3) in March, also got his second career stakes win with a come-from-behind effort in the six-furlong race. Stalking the leaders most of the way, the bay made up a couple of lengths in the final furlong to win by a neck in 1:11.02 on fast main track.
The 5-year-old, owned and bred by Jay Em Ess Stable, is 5-2-3 in 15 starts and has earned $437,250.
