By My Standards colt wins in Gulfstream unveiling with rail-skimming trip

By My Standards got his fifth First-Crop winner Saturday afternoon at Gulfstream Park when Timeless Victory won a five-furlong maiden special weight 2-year-old contest in his career debut.

Racing in a steady downpour, Timeless Victory was tucked behind horses until the top of the stretch, when an opening appeared along the inside. The bay colt slipped through and with a strong kick, outran both Uncle Aldo and Thunder Zeus to win by three-quarters of a length in :57.08 on the Tapeta surface.

The winner is owned by Leon Ellman, Glassman Racing LLC and Laurie Plesa. Timeless Victory was bred in Kentucky by Allied Racing Stable LLC.

Timeless Victory is the first foal out of Memento, who has two since produced two full brothers to her first runner.
