Kappa Kappa gives Omaha Beach fifth GSW of 2025
October 18, 2025

Kappa Kappa’s game victory in Saturday’s $400,000 Raven Run S. (G2) at Keeneland made her the fifth graded winner and 15th stakes winner overall this year for leading Third-Crop sire Omaha Beach.
After making her first three starts all at Parx, the 3-year-old filly took a big step up in class in Saturday’s seven-furlong race. She immediately went to the front and battled with Delightful Claire for the lead down the backstretch. Usha came up the inside to join the fray entering the turn, and the trio raced as one around the bend.
Kappa Kappa emerged with the lead at the top of the stretch, but was soon confronted by Thousand Words’ Vodka With a Twist, who took the lead in midstretch. Kappa Kappa battled back and put her nose in front in the final strides, officially winning by a head in 1:23.90.
“She’s been beating up on horses in the fields pretty easily up in Philly (at Parx Racing), so she certainly showed some gameness today like we hoped she would,” winning trainer Butch Reid said. “I knew she had the talent, but obviously she showed today she has the heart to go along with it.”
With three wins in four starts, Kappa Kappa has earned $278,375 for owners LC Racing LLC, Cash is King LLC and Wellesley Stable. The chestnut filly was bred by Stone Jug Ranch LLC.
