Bolt d’Oro filly caps 2025 with Tropical Park Oaks victory
December 14, 2025

Destino d’Oro wrapped up a very good year with a come-from-behind victory in Saturday’s $125,000 Tropical Parks Oaks at Gulfstream Park.
The 3-year-old daughter of Bolt d’Oro was a convincing winner of the Pucker Up S. (G3) in August and completed the year with three wins in five starts.
Ranked in the top 3 on this year’s Fourth-Crop Sire list, Bolt d’Oro has 11 stakes winners and over $10 million in progeny earnings to date. He will stand the 2026 season for $25,000 live foal.
Facing 11 foes in the 1 1/16-mile turf affair, Destino d’Oro was well off the pace while sitting in ninth for the first five furlongs. Around the final turn, she followed And One More Time and came into the stretch in the middle of the track. Despite And One More Time drifting out in the final sixteenth, Destino d’Oro drove past her in the final strides to win by a head.
Trained by Brad Cox for Steve Landers Racing LLC, Destino d’Oro is 4-0-1 in seven starts and has earned $544,884. The bay filly was a $185,000 purchase by her owner at the 2024 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.
Bred in Kentucky by Hurstland Farm, Inc. & James H. Greene Jr., Destino d’Oro is out of the Grade 1-placed Heart of Destiny.
