Maximus Mischief 2yo rolls by 19 in Future Stars S.
December 30, 2025
Mailata blew away the competition in the Future Stars S. at Parx on Dec. 30, cantering to a 19-length win to give the 2-year-old Maximus Mischief colt his second straight stakes win.
After the start of the seven-furlong race, Mailata was third on the backstretch, about three lengths from the front after a furlong. He easily cut into the deficit and easily took command after entering the turn. From there, the only thing left to decide was the margin of victory as he left his foes far behind, ultimately easing up in the final sixteenth.
A homebred for Cash is King LLC and LC Racing LLC, Mailata won last month’s Pennsylvania Nursey S. and is 3-0-1 in five starts, with earnings of $159,500.
Maximus Mischief has produced excellent on-track results once again in 2025. Currently fourth on the Third-Crop sire list with over $7.7 million in progeny earnings, Maximus Mischief, whose 2026 fee is $20,000 S&N, is one of only two Third-Crop sires with more than one Grade 1 winner this year.
