Undefeated Vekoma colt dominates again, named TDN ‘Rising Star’

Just as it was in his debut maiden win last month, Knock It Off’s speed proved too much for his foes in a first-level allowance race Feb. 20 at Fair Grounds [WATCH RACE]
The 3-year-old Vekoma colt was named a TDN ‘Rising Star’ following Friday’s 2 ¾-length victory. Knock It Off flew out of the gate and set a torrid quarter-mile of :21.71 and had a 1 ½-length lead after a half in :44.65. Despite the swift fractions, Knock It Off pulled away in the stretch and stopped the timer in 1:09.61, earning an 89 Beyer Speed Figure.
The winner is owned by Kirk and Judy Robison, who purchased him for $150,000 at the 2024 Keeneland September sale. Knock It Off was bred in Indiana by Deann Baer & Greg Baer DVM.
The champion Second-Crop sire of 2025, Vekoma now has seven Rising Stars. Early in this year, he leads the Third-Crop list by stakes horses and winners. Vekoma stands for $100,000 S&N.
