Walkinaftermidnite, a stunning daughter of Frosted and Sittin At The Bar, was added to the Spendthrift Broodmare Band after selling for $340,000 at the 2026 Keeneland January Sale.

Her dam, Sittin At The Bar, was out of Into Mischief’s very first crop in 2010. Born and raised at Spendthrift Farm, she was sold as a yearling for $35,000 to Dale Ladner who campaigned her to 9 stakes win and multiple Louisiana Championship titles. Her best work has come as a broodmare, with her first foal being the Malibu Moon daughter named Club Car who placed in multiple Grade 2 races over a 30 race career. Her second foal was a Bodemeister colt Jack The Umpire who won 2 stakes races over a 22 race career. Her third foal, Cilla (California Chrome), was a 5 time stakes winner with her biggest victory coming in the 2021 G2 Prioress Stakes at Saratoga.

Sittin At The Bar’s best foal so far was the 2020 Lord Nelson filly Alva Starr. Never out of the top two in 10 starts, Alva Starr was victorious in her debut at 2 years old and her first stakes win came at 3 years old in 2023 in the Dashing Beauty Stakes. Her next start came in the G2 Prioress Stakes where she romped by almost 9 lengths. She finished second by 1/2 length to rival Vahva in the G2 Raven Run and wasn’t brought back to the races until her 4 year old year. She won the American Beauty Stakes and in her Grade 1 debut, she defeated Vahva in Keeneland’s Grade 1 Madison Stakes. She came second to Vahva in the Derby City Staff, and her final career win came in the Rehoboth Stakes where she cantered to victory by nearly 10 lengths. A breakdown in a routine workout just a month later took Alva Starr’s life.

Walkinaftermidnite was her dam’s 5th foal. Sired by brilliant G1 winner Frosted, she was a winner of a MdSpWt at 3 years old. Sittin At The Bar has since produced a 3yo filly by Gun Runner, 2yo colt by Cyberknife, a yearling filly by Nyquist, and is in foal to Jackie’s Warrior for 2026.
