Leading Second-Crop sire Bolt d’Oro had his top result through the first two days of the OBS Spring 2-year-olds in Training sale on Wednesday when hip No. 320 sold early in the session for $700,000.

Consigned by Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables, Inc., the colt went to Kerri Radcliffe, acting on behalf of Lady Sheila Stables LLC and Partners.

Bred in Kentucky by Joseph Perrotta, the gray/roan colt was obtained by Dunne and Paul Reddam for $210,000 at last year’s Keeneland September sale.

The colt is out of Elusive Wave, who is a full sister to two-time Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) winner Mizdirection.

Bolt d’Oro, last year’s champion First-Crop sire, leads the 2023 Second-Crop list with over $2 million in progeny earnings to date.
