Bombdiggity the 30th TDN Rising Star for Into Mischief

Bombdiggity rocketed down the Fair Grounds stretch to break her maiden by a widening 6 ¾-length on Feb. 18, earning the 3-year-old Into Mischief filly a TDN ‘Rising Star’ tag.
She is the 30th career Rising Star for Into Mischief, joining luminaries such as Life Is Good, Mandaloun and Gamine.
Bombdiggity showed right from the break that she was the fastest horse in the six-furlong affair. She held sway by about a length through a quarter-mile in :22.66 and a half in :46.28. Asked for her run at the top of the stretch, she sped clear and came home much the best, finishing up in 1:10.02 on the fast main track.
The winner, bred by WinStar Farm, was a $600,000 purchase by Stonestreet Stables at the 2020 Keeneland September Yearling sale. Her dam Checkupfromzneckup’s first foal is Bombdiggity’s half-sister ‘TDN Rising Star’ and graded stakes winner Carribean Caper.
