Cloud Computing gets sharp debut winner in Churchill Opener

October 30, 2022

Two Eagles River scored a 2 ¾-length win in a $120,000 maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds Sunday in the opening race of the Churchill Downs fall meet.

The first-time starter became the ninth winner for Cloud Computing, whose graded stakes-placed colt I’m Very Busy is pre-entered in next Friday’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) at Keeneland.

Two Eagles River, who sold for $220,000 at this year’s OBS Spring 2-year-old sale, broke well in Sunday’s five-furlong race, chasing pacesetter Birthday Munnings through the first three furlongs. Moving off the rail turning for home, Two Eagles River swung outside and passed the leader. He pulled away with good energy in the final furlong to finish in :57.87 on a sloppy racetrack.
