Cross Traffic’s first Keeneland yearling sells for $250K

The third day of the Keeneland September Yearling sale saw the first juvenile from Cross Traffic’s first crop go through the ring, with prominent buyer Centennial Farm the winning bidder at $250,000 for the dark bay colt.

Buck Pond Farm, agent was the consignor of hip No. 733. The Kentucky-bred is the second foal out of Cinderella S. winner She’ll Heir.

Cross Traffic, winner of the Whitney Inv. H. (G1), was bred to 229 mares his first two years at stud. His yearlings have averaged 7.5 times his stud fee during this year’s auction season.

Cross Traffic has a total of 21 lots remaining in the sale, which runs through Sept. 23.
