Dominus’ $200,000 filly during Day 1 of the OBS April 2016 sale

A $200,000 filly from the first-crop of Dominus topped the sire’s offerings during Day 1 of the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training.

The filly was consigned by Cary Frommer, agent and cataloged as hip No. 161. The winning bidder for the bay juvenile was Lollipop Farm. The filly had one of the fastest works during last week’s Under Tack Show, breezing an eighth-mile in :10 seconds flat.

The filly is out of the stakes-winning mare Sea Bloom, dam of Panamanian champion 2-year-old colt Tale of Angel and the stakes-placed Consul Del Ocho.

Dominus, who has a 2016 2-year-old sales average of $90,000, more than 25 times his stud fee, has a total of 4 lots remaining in the four-day sale, which runs through April 22.
